Visvo (the Sanskrit word for universe) is a Dallas based early stage company, that has engineered a significant advance in search technology which promises vastly improved search results for users and better qualified customers for advertisers. Visvo's mission is to categorize the universe of content that exists on the web. Visvo has built the first automatic categorization search engine for web content. Visvo's search algorithms analyze, categorize and return the content of web pages that fit precisely what users are searching for. In search environments where words can have many meanings, Visvo's classification system distinguishes user intent to provide a richer user experience and better segmentation and a more valuable ad inventory.

Visvo was incorporated by entrepreneurs who founded and recently sold InventX, a company focused on project management software, and who were formerly project managers and executives at Northrop Grumman and Texas Instruments. The Company's Board of Directors and investors includes a founding engineer of i2 Technologies (Dallas, TX), one of the industry's largest supply chain management concerns.
